My Demon

We all have a demon in us.
We all have a demon we have yet to fight.
I'm currently fighting mine.
I can feel it crawling at the surface,
Just under the barrier,
begging for a way out.
But I know that if I do that,
Everything will change.
I will lose the person that I am,
For a person I'm not sure I want to become.
I'll change.
I'll become the best self I can be, and the worst.
I'll become someone I don't recognize.
I'll become someone I want to know.
I'll become someone I love.
I'll become someone I hate.
I'll become you.
